It’s hard to believe that Lindy and JT got married one year ago! It feels like it was just yesterday.
Lindy and JT’s love story began at Purdue University, where both were actively pursuing their undergraduate degrees. Throughout their dating relationship, JT would occasionally text Lindy with something he loved about her along with a number – the number correlating to the importance of that specific quality or characteristic. This fun fact is something he incorporated into his romantic greenhouse proposal eight months before their October 5, 2019 wedding.
The weather on their wedding day could not have been more perfect, as the sun was shining and temperatures reached 75 degrees. Lindy and JT were married outdoors in front of a gorgeous black rod iron gazebo, accented with arrangements containing lush greenery and pops of white floral.
After wedding guests enjoyed an indoor / outdoor cocktail hour, they were escorted into the ballroom, which was decorated with classic black and white, peppered with gold accents to highlight their stunning reception venue.
In lieu of traditional wedding cake for dessert, Lindy and JT opted for an ice cream cart, managed and operated by a close family member, who owns an ice cream shop in Culver, Indiana. The two decided to do an “ice cream scooping,” instead of a traditional cake cutting for photos, which included the bride and groom’s favorite flavors: Butterscotch Blondie for Lindy and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup for JT.
After dinner and dessert, friends and family danced the night away to a live band and lots of country music, being the bride and groom’s favorite. To cap off the evening, guests enjoyed a Tater Tot bar before bidding the bride and groom farewell after a magical evening.
Happy Anniversary Lindy and JT!
